IQMESH Network Manager Window

Tools for IQMESH network management, visualization and testing. Unlike the DPA Test window where complete packets must be specified, this window contains a graphical user interface. Individual features/functions correspond to given DPA command of given peripheral described in document IQRF DPA Framework Technical guide. The background communication of this tool can be logged in the Terminal Log window if enabled in Tools / Options / General.

The internal timing (waiting time for the DPA response) of this tool is based on "pessimistic scenario" described here. The "extra time" (time to prepare and send the response back at the Node side) is 500 ms.

Supports TR modules with OS 3.04D or higher.

Connected TR module must be uploaded with the Coordinator DPA plug-in.

The window can be opened by:

oTools menu.

oToolbar button

oShortcut Ctrl+Alt+N.

Control panel

oFind Node

Searching the Node in the map or table according to the logical address, VRN or ID. Given Node is highlighted on the map including the path from the Coordinator and the table with detailed information.

oPerform Selected Operations Shift+Ctrl+P

Performs operations by selection and automatically updates map:

Run Discovery

Poll Nodes

It is intended to determine accessibility of all bonded Nodes (ping). As a test packet the Read command from the OS peripheral is used.

Enumerate (preview)

Reads basic information only (1 packet per Node, takes less time) from all network devices. The result is displayed in the Table View window.

Enumerate (full)

Reads complete information (3 packets per Node, takes more time) from all network devices. The result is displayed in the Table View window.

For the following 4 items apply:

If the View selection is set to FRC Response the returned FRC value is displayed on Nodes in the map.

If the Selective FRC checkbox is checked the FRC is sent as a selective according to the Node selection on the map.

Send FRC from DPA Test Terminal

Sends the FRC currently selected in the DPA Test / Data to send window.

Send Packet from DPA Test Terminal as Acknowledge Broadcast - Bits

Sends the packet currently selected in the DPA Test / Data to send window as FRC - Acknowledge broadcast collecting bits.

Send Packet from DPA Test Terminal as Acknowledge Broadcast - Bytes

Sends the packet currently selected in the DPA Test / Data to send window  as FRC - Acknowledge broadcast collecting bytes.

Send FRC Temperature

Sends predefined FRC command: Read temperature.

Send FRC Ping

Sends predefined FRC command: Ping

Send FRC Supply Voltage

Sends predefined FRC command: Supply Voltage

This button can be used to test the network. Individual operations can take longer time depending on the number of Nodes and network topology. Passing of operations is displayed in the Communication in progress window and can be cancelled anytime. In case of the cancellation IDE waits for finishing of the last packet (end of the routing).

Tip

Press the Shift key, click the button arrow to expand the menu, and click the given operation you want to perform. The previous selection remains unchanged.

oCheck IQRF Repository for updates

Checks the IQRF Repository for availability of Custom DPA Handler updates and displays the result in the window below. Valid for products (handlers) meeting the IQRF Standard only. The button is enabled if at least one device in the Map View or Table View is enumerated.

oUpdate Custom DPA Handlers from IQRF Repository

Allows the OTA update of all Custom DPA Handlers selected in the Table View / Custom DPA Handler / Update column. Valid for products (handlers) meeting the IQRF Standard only. The button is enabled if at least one Custom DPA Handler is available after IQRF Repository checking. The button opens a window with the selection:

Upload selected Custom DPA Handlers

Opens a wizard for the OTA Network Update. If no checkbox is checked in the Table View / Custom DPA Handler / Update column this item is disabled.

The update process uses the external EEPROM of given TR module in  the address range from 0x0300 to 0x3FFF.

Add all used Custom DPA Handlers to the Project

Creates a folder with the "Update_<MID>_<DATE>" name in the Project / Output HEX or Plug-ins window and adds all Custom DPA Handler HEX or IQRF files displayed in the Table View / Custom DPA Handler / Update / Version column.
