When creating a network, the main goal is a reliable connection to every Node. The Discovery process may result in a situation when some Nodes are (not intentionally) not Discovered (e.g. 95 discovered Nodes from out of 100 bonded Nodes with enabled routing). Not discovered Nodes can not route. Except for dedicated routers (repeaters) which must always route, such a situation may not present a problem. If a not discovered Node is in the direct RF range at least to one (but the more the better) neighboring discovered Node, the communication will be possible. Therefore, after a Discovery, it is recommended to verify the connectivity with all Nodes.
For this test, the following options are possible:
● Some DPA commands (e.g. OS Indicate, OS Read, etc.) sent successively as unicast to all Nodes (polling).
● DPA embedded FRC command Ping to test more Nodes at the same time.
● Select the Poll Nodes or Send FRC Ping menu item.
● Click the Perform selected operations button.
●
For reliable verification, it is recommended to repeat such a test several times.
