The higher the network size (number of Nodes in the network), the higher the communication latency. More Nodes imply more routing hops. In practice, it may be more advantageous to operate more but smaller networks than a huge one.
Advantages:
● Faster communication in the network.
● More networks can operate via different RF channels.
● Fewer Nodes are disabled if the gateway or the Coordinator fails, during the network maintenance, etc.
