This tool is intended for communication with a network device (Coordinator or Node) in DSM (DPA Service Mode). It is a special service mode, which can be established with a network device after reset. The connection can be established only with one network device in the direct RF range. Moreover, knowledge of the Access Password of this network device is required. RF communication passes via the dedicated service channel 0, or possibly via the alternative DSM channel specified in the TR configuration of the given network device.

Refer to the IQRF IDE Help, chapter DPA Service Mode how to connect/disconnect the CATS to/from a network device.

With the device connected, it is possible:

To learn the information about the device.

To bond or unbond the device (Node).

To perform the Backup or Restore.

To change the TR configuration of the device.

To invoke the Factory Settings of the device (Node).

To set the device into the RFPGM mode and then use CATS as an RF programmer.

To send any DPA Request to the connected device from the IQRF IDE (Terminal / DPA Test).
