The Coordinator is typically connected to a gateway. Thus, it can be reconfigured to any settings from the gateway and no additional DPA support for the Coordinator is needed.
Regardless of the actual configuration and bonding information stored in the Node, it is anytime possible to restore the factory setting to the following values:
● TX power = 7
● RX filter = 5
● Access Password cleared (all 16 B filled with zeros)
● The Node not bonded (Ready to bond state).

Important: Due to the overall network security, it is not recommended to leave the default Access Password (filled with zeros) in the production network. |
The factory settings can be useful as a retrieval when the common methods are not applicable, e.g. in case of lost Access Password or for bonding a Node with unknown history into a new network.
A Node can be reconfigured to the factory settings in several ways.
