Installing/Uninstalling IQRF IDE

IQRF IDE installation on your system

IQRF IDE can be downloaded separately and is also included in the Startup Package. Further continuation is the same in both cases.

Invoke the iqrf_ide_4xx_setup.exe file.

Follow the installation wizard on-screen prompts.

For more information about starting with IQRF see the IQRF Quick Start guide.

Automatic checking of new IQRF IDE versions can be enabled in the Tools / Options menu. When a notification about a new IQRF IDE version is issued, it is possible to install it automatically or only to download the installation file and install it manually later on.

IQRF IDE uninstallation

IQRF IDE can be removed by common uninstall procedure.

Select Start / Settings / Control Panel to open the Control Panel.

Double click on Add/Remove Programs. Find IQRF IDE on the list and click on it.

Click Change/Remove to remove the program from your system.

Notes

Installation includes USB drivers (WinUSB CDC/Custom and MPUSB CDC/Custom classes), free C compiler (CC5X) and system header files.

WinUSB CDC/Custom USB drivers are automatically installed during IQRF IDE installation for all supported Windows® versions.

MPUSB CDC/Custom USB drivers are automatically installed during IQRF IDE installation for Windows Vista and Windows 7 only. You will be asked to confirm their installation. Follow the IQRF USB Drivers Installation guide guide for all other supported Windows® versions.

Up to 3 instances of IQRF IDE v4.xx are allowed running at the same time. But only one IQRF IDE can be installed.

It is possible to launch the IQRF IDE with parameters.

No other PC SW (e.g. IQRF IDE v2.xx/3.xx, IQRF UDU or a user's own SW) using the same USB driver is allowed running at the same time.

Projects created in IQRF IDE version v4.03 and higher are automatically converted to curent version after opening the Project. Projects created in lower IDE versions cannot be converted.
